Synopsis

It’s a play about courage, about resisting adversity. It shouts, it cries, it sings, between dream and reality, between humor and gravity, for the best of humanity, between tenderness and brutality. It’s the life of a mother and her son, a childhood without a father, it’s a story full of ghosts, theater for grown-up children who love their mother. What do we owe to our mothers in what we have become?

Originally published by Actes Sud in 2015, as part of the Heyoka Jeunesse collection, under the title “Moman”, the play premiered in April 2024 at La Scala, Paris, entitled “Moman, Pourquoi Les Méchants Sont Méchants?”, directed by Noémie Pierre and starring Hervé Pierre and Clotilde Mollet.
